First and foremost, I believe that if somehow a slow-clap were possible in blog-form, mustardtigr's last post deserves one.
Alright, what else is in the news. Despite facing numerous evictions, chronic laziness, and what most health professionals would consider alcoholism, the six of us have managed to be invited back into the palace that is 320 Princess Unit 3 for next year. Not only does this mean that the blog has a greater chance of surviving, but also us guys ourselves, as I'm pretty sure we'd be somewhere in a ditch within a couple days away from the group.
In other news, MSTRKRFT has stopped in town as MustardTigr noted. However, he neglected to report that the price of tickets somehow went from $30 to over $50 in about 3 days, leaving about 80% of the people I talked and myself included not shelling out the dough. I don't really know whose responsible for the prices, I guess as people start to realize they are selling the last few tickets they jack the price and pocket the premium. I just think it's pretty unfortunate. Steve Aoki waltzed into London at the start of the year, along with Crookers and they both killed it, for $20. I'm sure the shows gonna be sick tonight, but whether it's their fault or not, I think it reflects poorly on the guys. Hope this isn't the future for shows coming to London.
So in the absence of a wild electro show in my face, I have been forced to lurk the internet further in my search for audiogold
First off, a DJ that would never charge the good people of London $50 to see him spin, local legend, set to blow up in Europe
Wreck The DiscotekGet 'Em OpenI don't even really remember how I came across this track, but I think this is the kind of song that girls should be listening to within the typical "girl" genre. Her lyrics are relatively clever, a little more intelligence, a little less MA-MA-MA-MA POKAFACE. Getting stuck in a girls car with brutal music is just the worst, but if this song came on, wouldn't even be mad.
Lilly Allen - The Fear (Christian Vorbau Remixand I have noticed a trend that pretty much all the music posted so far has been pretty new, not that that's a bad thing, but I'm gonna make a point to throw in some older stuff in posts. For this one, a classic from one of my favourite bands of all time, Brand New. I'm sure to some at first it just kinda sounds like noise, but stick with it. Definitely some of the coldest lyrics I've ever heard. I know the qualities not great, so if you cant make out all the words, I recommend lurking the lyrics somewhere on the interweb. seriously good stuff.
Brand New - Seventy Times 7annnnnd I haven't seen the Gu long enough in about the last 48 hours to extract a fresh quote, so I'm going to the vault once again.
"Why do people call them U-Turns? I mean, their shaped more like P's when you think about it. They should be called P-Turns" - Gu
